Lori Bachman

Mountain-Book

Lori Bachman

The MentorShift Group is Lori Bachman’s creation. Lori’s experience ranges from senior executive coaching to building high impact product teams, with clients across the nation. She is a highly effective speaker, trainer and communicator.

Lori’s passion is mentoring and for good reason. During both her corporate career as an aerospace finance executive and as a business owner herself, she has seen companies flounder in mentoring programs that often have a short shelf life, fall to the wayside as last year’s initiative, and employees give up and walk away because mentoring seems too hard or awkward. Those employees don’t just walk away from a mentoring program; they often head straight for the door.

Her years as a financial executive and corporate leader have given her a keen eye and vital insight that, for businesses, there is an essential equation for success:

Effective Mentoring = Engaged Employees = Higher Productivity = Less Attrition = Increased ROI and Stronger Bottom Line

For this reason, she has dedicated herself to teaching a forthright way to pass on skills between any mentoring pair or team that not only benefits the organization’s goals, but also equips each individual to mentor others.

An equally driving passion, and one born from her mission to shore up mentoring cultures, is to equip people to be brilliantly successful as they deal with others, particularly as they encounter conflict and workplace politics. She trains individuals and groups in “Tongue Fu”, a communication process that helps people deflect, disarm and defuse verbal conflict. Lori helps disrupt faulty communication patterns and unseat workplace bullies through her action-oriented workshops, “Tongue Fu!® —Martial Arts for the Mind and Mouth,” and “Take the Bully By the Horns so You’ll Never Be Bullied Again.” These presentations apply to dealing with the condescending coworker in the next cubicle to the tough issues of #metoo.

Prior to launching The MentorShift Group in 2011, Lori led teams in multi-billion dollar merger and acquisitions projects. In that role, she enjoyed “helping everyone play together well on the playground” as she navigated the waters of combining oftentimes rival companies to create shareholder value.

She grew and matured in her leadership in the aerospace world, and enjoyed years of working with and learning from real “rocket scientists,” gifted engineers and astronauts who had been to the moon and back, literally.

Since launching the MentorShift Group in 2011, she has had the opportunity to work with clients across a range of industries: Banking, Wealth Management, Telecom, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Engineering and Health Care.

She earned a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Denver and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wheaton College (IL).

Lori lives with her family in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. With two teenagers still at home, there is never a dull moment. You might find her relaxing by hiking with the family in the nearby Rockies, tinkling the ivories on her piano, or playing a delightedly wicked game of Words with Friends.

Fall Down 7 Times Get Up 8 – Glenn Bott, a vibrant and enthusiastic “lover of life” had his life forever changed when he was struck head on by a SUV while bicycling after work.  In a coma for 10+ days he lingered between life and death.  Once Glenn emerged from his coma, he spent months in a rehabilitation hospital where he had to relearn to walk, talk, swallow, and think.

His training and beliefs prior to the collision helped him fully recover – surprising his doctors and therapists.  These thoughts and beliefs along with his love of life saved him.  He’ll share with you why he survived a diagnosis of “likely won’t survive and if he does, he’ll have very high odds of being severely brain injured and require assistance for the remainder of his life”.  Join Glenn as he recounts his healing process and engages you with moving stories of how his strong sense of self and wife/friends assisted him in not only surviving but coming out the other side an improved version – Glenn Bott 2.0

Glenn’s thoughts and beliefs used to “come back from the dead” can help you too.  This way of thinking can improve your business, financial situation, relationships and personal health.

Glenn is a powerful and unique speaker that shares his simple message with emotional and humorous stories to demonstrate there is always a way.  One of his favorite sayings is “what you focus on expands”.  By focusing upon a complete and total recovery he has reinvented himself and now shares the tools and techniques he used to once again create a great and joyous life for himself.

Glenn is sought after because of his unique message, authenticity, impeccability, and easy-going nature.  His message resonates with individuals and businesses because he demonstrates the effectiveness of empowerment, having a positive “can do” belief, and lateral thinking.

Whether you’re seeking a keynote speaker to set the stage for your upcoming event or a memorable closing speaker to inspire attendees to implement what they learned – Glenn Bott is a perfect fit.

She thrives on helping others see their potential and welcomes the role of “coach,” as she guides individuals and businesses on the topics of handling adversity and change, building resiliency and creating constructive organizational team cultures.

    Kathy Lawless

As a Life Story Curator and over two decades of leadership experience in corporate, non-profit and consulting roles, Kathy has been using story telling for years to build trust, confidence and connections. Story telling has always come naturally to her, but it wasn’t until she was a Catalyst Mentor in a Mentoring Circle that she discovered just how impactful story telling was to being an authentic leader. And, that it was such a strength of hers.

Kathy believes that ordinary people do extraordinary things everyday, they just go unnoticed — because most people don’t think to share their stories or don’t think their stories are good enough. She helps people recognize how and when to tell their stories and which ones are most impactful. Surprisingly, stories of failure, not success, seem to be the most powerful!

Her vision is to help leaders recognize the hidden power of story telling and step into their “authentic” selves. By sharing their stories, leaders are more likable, relatable and trust worthy. People want to work for leaders they know, like and trust and teams are more productive when they trust one another and their leader.

      Lauren Danielle Simms

      Colorado Presenter

      Lauren Danielle Simms

Keynote Speaker | Business Coach | Nutritionist

In 2013, life was anything but ideal for Lauren Danielle Simms. She was working 80+ hours a week as a group fitness instructor, personal trainer, Master Clinical Nutritionist, Metabolic Coordinator, running boot camps, cocktailing, waiting tables, and more. And she was exhausted, super exhausted. She spent ten years in this industry, driving all over the Denver metro area to lead fitness classes, meet with clients, and scramble to make everything work all at the same time.

The truth is Lauren was miserable, overworked, overwhelmed, unfulfilled, and broke. It got to the point where she was sitting on the floor in her empty apartment, broke and burnt out when she decided to take control of her life. Less rat-race, more purpose and passion. She purposefully started to create a rebellion of the life she was living and run towards the life she wanted, to be fit and free and full of life!

You may be wondering what your purpose is in life? Is this all life is about? You may be wondering if you’re “enough”: good enough, rich enough, smart enough, lovable enough. Maybe you’re afraid of your own potential. Life isn’t about playing it safe or coloring inside the lines. There may be people in your life, even yourself, telling you that you “can’t”. Your “can’t’s” are holding you hostage, a tyrannical chain on your potential.

Think back to when you were a kid. You believed you could do anything! When did you stop believing in yourself? When did you start restricting yourself and allowing others to limit your potential? What if you could break free of your past limitations? What if your life could become truly extraordinary? What if this was your time to ignite the greatest revolution of your life?

Lauren’s greatest passion is helping people like yourself break through financial, physical, mental, and emotional barriers to embrace your fullest life possible through health and success. She has undergraduate degrees in both Psychology and Sociology and graduate degrees in Criminology and Nutrition Therapy. Lauren also shares from her fifteen plus years of experience in health and wellness, nutrition insight, and one-on-one personal training. She currently teaches nationally-recognized group fitness classes and leads many group nutritional coaching programs. She is the author of “Why Can’t is a Four-Letter Word.”  Lauren has also used her training and experience working with fascinating people from corporate executives to entrepreneurs, business professionals, and stay-at-home moms to help change lives through the power of inspiration and success.
